Interpretation
This is application round-trip time, not raw ping.
Each sample includes the browser's request handling, the network route, TLS where a connection is not reused, and a tiny PHP response. Browser connection reuse can make later samples faster.
Use the median for a normal experience and P95 to see the slow edge of this short test. A result from one ISP cannot represent every user location.
- Run from each important office or VPN exit
- Compare median and P95, not one sample
- Repeat at busy and quiet times
- Record packet loss separately when diagnosing a tunnel
- Use an application test for the real workload
Include the result in your VPS request.
Tell us the probe location, ISP, VPN state and application so the number has context.
