Purpose
Who this policy applies to
The AUP applies to every customer, user, application and data set using a FastVPS service. The customer is also responsible for authorised users, contractors and accounts under their control.
It is read with the Service Terms and does not limit stricter obligations under law, software licensing, registrar or upstream-provider rules.
Prohibitions
Illegal and harmful activity
- illegal content or activity, fraud, rights infringement or facilitation,
- child sexual abuse material or any exploitation of minors,
- phishing, credential theft, impersonation, malware, ransomware, botnets, command-and-control or cryptojacking,
- unauthorised access, scanning, exploitation, password attacks or system interference,
- DDoS, amplification, spoofing, traffic laundering or attack infrastructure,
- breach of privacy, data protection, intellectual property or trade secrets.
Email / messaging
Spam and network reputation
Unsolicited bulk email, purchased or harvested lists, deceptive sender identities, open relays/proxies, mail bombing, snowshoe spam and evasion of abuse controls are prohibited. Customers must maintain evidence of consent where required, a working unsubscribe path and correct SPF/DKIM/DMARC where relevant.
Repeated listings, complaints or attempts to conceal origin may result in SMTP restriction, IP null-routing or suspension.
Resources
Abuse and fair use
Use that degrades other customers or endangers storage, network, CPU, mail reputation or shared infrastructure is prohibited. Cryptocurrency mining, public anonymising proxies, bulk scraping, high-risk reselling and third-party stress testing require prior written approval where not already prohibited.
Technical limits stated in the package or necessary for stability and security may be applied. Customers are notified of permanent material limit changes.
Obligations
Customer security baseline
- strong unique credentials, MFA where available and prompt access revocation,
- OS and application updates according to the self-managed/managed model,
- limiting exposed services and reviewing logs/alerts,
- prompt replacement of compromised credentials and cooperation with remediation,
- no unauthorised disabling of monitoring or protective controls.
Enforcement
Investigation, restriction and suspension
FastVPS may investigate complaints and technical incidents, request information or remediation and preserve necessary evidential logs. Responses are proportionate: notice, port/service restriction, isolation, temporary suspension or termination.
Immediate restrictions may be applied without prior notice for an active attack, malware, a lawful order, immediate risk or serious harm to third parties. Where safe and lawful, notice and a remediation or appeal route are provided through sales@fastvps.gr.
